Inspired by the delicate look of swiss cheese, I designed the Emmenthal cowl and hat.  This design is the perfect pairing of lightweight luxurious yarns and a simple lace.  I know what you're thinking, holes in a hat?  Well here in sunny California, this lightweight and lacey hat is just the right amount of warmth.

#2 – Sport, about 273 yards Amano Eco Puna (100% Baby Alpaca 273 yards) shown in color 9000

US 5 & 7 - 16” Circular Needle and US 7 Double Pointed Needles, Stitch Markers

Gauge:

18 stitches = 4” in Stockinette Stitch

Finished Measurements:

19” circumference unstretched, hat will comfortably stretch to fit 22” circumference
