Cumulus Scoop Neck Tee via Zoom

Intimidated at the thought of knitting sweaters? Sign up for this class and we'll take the mystery out of it. This classic bottom up design works up quickly in worsted weight yarn. In class we'll teach you how to join pieces, add waist shaping, divide front and back, short rows and more. Plus, at the end you'll have a stylish piece you will love to wear!

Please Note: You will receive the link to join Zoom both 4-6 days before class, and then again the day before class. Please double check your email address when signing up so we can make sure your link is sent to the correct place.

All our classes are recorded, so even if you cannot attend the scheduled time you can still learn all of the techniques. The link for the recording will be emailed to you after the class has completed.

Materials:

753 (753, 753, 1004, 1004, 1255) yards Worsted weight yarn
We suggest Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Degrade or Rainbow

US 7 24 " circular needles or size needed to achieve gauge

Or, US 7 5" Interchangeable Tips in Metal or Bamboo, and a small Twist or Spin 14" Cable

Pre-work:

Before session 1: Swatch and achieve gauge. Cast on for desired size and knit 7 rows on both panels. In class we'll teach you to join these pieces. Also, with waste yarn and spare needles, cast on 100 stitches. Join to work in the round and knit four rounds. We will teach waist shaping on this piece.

Before session 2: Knit the body to desired length. In class we'll teach you to divide for front and back. Also, with waste yarn and spare needles, cast on w 68, (76, 84, 94, 100, 108) and knit four rows. We will teach short row shaping on this piece.

Before session 3: Finish the front and back to the point where pattern says to shape shoulders. In class we'll teach you how to finish off the shoulders and join them to complete your top.
