Heddle Shawl via Zoom
The stitch pattern used in this stunning shawl looks like a woven fabric, but it’s created using knit, purl and lace eyelets. Heddle is a very simple top-down shawlette that can be worked at any size/gauge. We used one skein of Smooshy Cashmere plus a skein of beaded silk and sequins to create a slightly glittery look.
Materials:
Approximately 420 yds fingering weight yarn
We recommend Smooshy Cashmere in Holographic Shimmer by Dream in Color
US 6 32" circular needles
Or, US 6 5" Interchangeable Tips in Metal or Bamboo, and a small Twist or Spin 22" Cable
Purchase pattern on Ravelry here.
Pre-work:
With waste yarn and spare needles, cast on 20 stitches and knit two rows. This will be used to practice the picot bind off.
