Luck of the Irish Cowl
Cables are a unique technique that add dimension and character to a project. This cowl is designed with a basketweave style cable pattern to add even more interest. In this class we'll teach you how to cable without a cable needle. It's the perfect way to bring your cabling skills up a notch.
Requirements: | PRE-HOMEWORK Gauge: 18 dc = 4 inches With US 10 needles, cast on 130. Join in the round being careful not to twist. Then work rounds 1-6. Rounds 1/2/5/6: *k1, p1; repeat from * to end of round Rounds 3/4: *p1, k1; repeat from * to end of round SUPPLIES Pattern: Available at class $5.00 plus printing fee 180 yards of worsted weight yarn US 10, 24 inch circulars and double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge Stitch markers Please bring these additional tools: Knitting gauge, scissors, tape measure. Tapestry needle (preferably bent tip) Paper & pen for note taking if desired |
