Beginning with an elegant lace pattern, this shawl features rippling lace and garter stitch short rows.  It's a perfect project to bump up your skills just a skoche.  In class we'll teach you how to work the lace design as well as the no wrap short row method.  Coterie takes just 800 yards of fingering weight yarn, so choose your favorite color and let's get started!

Materials: 
Approximately 860 yds fingering weight yarn
Sample pictured uses two skeins of Heathered Merino Superfine

US 5 32" circular needles
Or, US 5  5" Interchangeable Tips in Metal or Bamboo, and a small Twist or Spin 22" Cable

Pre-work:
You will be making two practice swatches so you can learn the lace and short rows in one session.
Swatch 1: With waste yarn and spare needles cast on 39 stitches, knit two rows.
Swatch 2: With waste yarn and spare needles, cast on 34 stitches, knit two rows.
