Birdwatcher Top Combination Hand and Machine Knit Version Via Zoom



Birdwatcher is a slightly cropped summer top that looks great in your favorite color of fingering weight yarn.  Knit from the bottom up it's easy to adjust the length to fit just the way you want.  We'll teach you to work the chevron pattern, divide for sleeves, and shoulder shaping by hand and then how to transfer your project to the knitting machine for the easy peasy stockinette portion.

You will need:
800 (800, 1200, 1200, 1200) 1200, 1600, 1600, 1600 yards of fingering weight yarn
US 4  24" circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Or, US 4 5" Interchangeable Tips in Metal or Bamboo, and a small Twist or Spin 14” Cable

Pre-work:
Swatch and obtain gauge.  Cast on and work the garter stitch in the round so you're ready to start the chevron pattern.
