Knitting with Shadows



This simple triangular shawl is the perfect project to learn a new stitch technique.  Known as shadow knitting the pattern utilizes only knits and purls to create a ripple effect.  Add in some increasing and decreasing and you have the perfect triangular wrap for brisk Spring days.

Requirements: PRE-HOMEWORK
Gauge: 13 stitches = 4 inches

SUPPLIES
Pattern: Available at class $5.00 plus printing fee
Worsted Weight Yarn 500 yards each of Color A & B, Sample Knit with Cumulus
and Cumulus Rainbow
US 10, 24 inch circulars, or size needed to obtain gauge
Stitch markers
Please bring these additional tools:
Knitting gauge, scissors, tape measure.
Tapestry needle (preferably bent tip)
Paper & pen for note taking if desired
